Nick Norman-Butler is the founder of Thriller Films. His love of story began early and in an unconventional place. A relative suffering from hallucinations and delusions ignited an obsession into mysteries and paranoid conspiracy theories, then - as an antidote - a search for the truth.
He started his career in journalism then grew into documentary and narrative fiction, developing in the process a highly unique CV.
Equally adept in multiple genres, he has worked as:
- a BBC Executive Producer on investigative documentaries
- a self-shooting documentary Director with over 40 broadcast film credits in true crime / current affairs / drama-doc & ob-doc.
- an EMMY WINNING Edit Producer on premium Netflix series ‘Drive to Survive’
- a writer / director on the feature film, ‘My House’.
In 2026, he enrolled on the RTS Mini MBA course to learn about the business side of the UK TV Industry.
Nick is a member of BAFTA and Directors UK.
